A favour needed. Please read this......

Hi all. I was at the sharp end of a fatality at work last night. Its one of the worst things that has happened to me so I will be taking a week or two off the forum as I am not 100% on the ball right now. (nothing changed there then..!!)

I would appreciate it if you could re-direct your e-mails to me for whatever reason you send them, for help, advise, sticky requests moans and groans etc, to the other mod Keygrip.
I will still be looking into the forum from time-to-time but not going to make any moderating decisions for the next week or so.

I hope you understand why and thanks in advance for your co-operation.
Best whishes,
Paul.

Very sorry to hear of your terrible experience, Mr L, the only comfort is that more recent, happier ones will start to overlay that one and the shock will be dulled in time.

My very best wishes to you.

pilotwolf 28th Aug 2003 03:22

..sorry to hear that! I ve picked up the pieces from what I guess was a similar incident. You have my sympathy, as someone who has the regular misfortune to deal with other peoples' demise...

:ouch: :ugh:

BRL 28th Aug 2003 07:52

Pilotwolf I have nothing but the utmost respect for you and your colleague's. You turn up and take them away and last nights one was a bit of a mess. I don't know how you guys(and girls) do it but you really do have my respect 100%.

I was speaking to the policewoman this evening who came around for the statement and she says she wouldn't like to go through what I just been through but picking up the pieces doesn't bother her at all. On the other hand, I don't know how you can come along and do that, I really don't think I have the stomach for that.

You lot are very special people indeed. The calming influence from the paramedics and police last night really helped a lot just after the incident. I don't know how you do it and I am pretty gratefull for the help your lot gave me last night.

PPPPP Thanks for the kind words. I think you are right, the good times will start to come back to my thoughts and I am just taking one day at a time right now. It was a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. :(

Hi Paul.

Mate, really sorry to hear about this. Don't know if I can say anything that helpful, but try not to blame yourself. Best thing you can do is chill out for a while.

Take good care,

Iain
