SkyDemon (Route-Track-North up)

I’m a new user of skydemon & cant quite get this right..

in navigation mode with a route inputted, only north up shows the names of places the right way up (or easily readable).

I prefer to fly track up, but both the track up & route up options will rotate names of places, (especially flying south, when they’re upside down, as they would be if you held a paper map track up).

is there any way to navigate with track or route up selected, with the place names easy to read on screen?

Edited to add, I’m using it on an iPhone 6

I’ve been using SkyDemon for years and normally fly using it North up, but just tried it in simulate with Track up and all the place names were reading correctly.
I’m not sure what the problem is.

I don't recognise this behaviour either. It's never displayed like that for me and I've just checked again on Android phone and tablet - North Up, Track Up and Route Up all have the writing displayed correctly and readable.

Suggest you ask the question in the SkyDemon Support Forums. When you do, can include screenshots?

This is a screenshot of what it looks like flying in the Liverpool zone. The way the text is depicted is also strange, it’s showing the places as reporting points, as opposed to just the place names. Is it perhaps a settings option I need to alter?

Was it a ‘settings’ issue ? Just so others can learn.

SkyDemon will rotate its own (vector) text so that it is the right way up, but for georeferenced printed documents that's not possible since they are static images.

If you zoom out a bit you should see a red X for closing the georeferenced overlaid image and see the vector chart underneath.

If you want to turn off the automatic loading of georeferenced documents altogether, that option is within Setup > Navigation Options under the Approach Tools subheading
