So... the crew had to calculate a new W&B for the high altitude portion of the flight?
We'll have to send you back to school DAR.

One flying club i know, are very particular about weight and balance accuracy, to the point where the skill test has to be done in two parts if you cant take enough fuel for it to be completed in one.

I don't think I ever flew a 150 or 152 with 2 POB within W&B limits. That includes instruction and, very definitely, on my skills test. Rather more careful about what I do these days and I'm certainly not advocating operating outside the limits, just pointing out that not all schools and clubs have always been punctilious on w&b.
