Any strips near Newton Abbot, Devon?

Need to get there and nearest I can find is Exeter Airport. Does the team know anywhere closer (cheaper)?

The microlight airfield at Halwell seems probably the closest - 480m grass.

The LAA Devon Strut site is good for strips out West.

Thanks Dave

Halwell was good idea, but I don't qualify as restricted to permit a/c 100hp or less. And it's probably longer by road than Exeter to Newton Abbot. The strut guide suggests Exeter works best, ho hum........

But good steer, thanks!

I looked for something similar a couple of years back (exactly same are), there is a curious dearth of options.

There may be some private strips, but I was unable to find anything...

There is surely an opportunity here - it's a real shame there is not somewhere! One of the local gentry must have sufficient land and be eccentric enough to create a strip!
