Learning to Fly

Give Micky Kaye a call at York Flying School based at Breighton Airfield near Selby. Intensive courses available, both my boys learned to fly with them. Costs are good as the price of fuel is cheap, no landing fees either.
Most fields are around £20 a landing.
If you intens to carry on to Commercial level I would form your own company and get registered for VAT.

I also live in the Manchester area, Blackpool around 60 miles, Breighton is about the same distance. Benefits of both, not much hanging around the holding points
To get airborne , once you are up you can start training not having to fly outside of controlled airspace eating up time.

Send me a PM, I have a PA28, would gladly take you up for Fly.

I had briefly looked into it. If noticed that although you can claim vat back. If you then go on to be a freelance all is fine. If you then however go employed or fail ir35 rules you could find HMRC clawing back the vat.

Again... this is brief research so quite interested in anyine who has experienced this either way so I can learn more.
