NR: Just had an email from Maurice: "could you send out a post on Supporting Maurice........ needs a few leading edge ribs.....will pay pdq via Aero club of East Africa along with the usual shopping list
anyone in Kenya, as well?"
Can anyone help?
I think it's more of a request for help/spares than 'honesty'
PS I can't see that FB page, so I'm guessing

Maurice now has G-KURK inside Lokichogio Airport as he has agreed to a KCAA engineer overseeing the repairs to the Wings.
Maurice isn't as irresponsible as some would like to believe, his acceptance of KCAA Help immediately got G-KURK from outside the gates of Lokichogio to a nice spot on the apron.

I am sure the repair won't be to LAA standards but it will certainly make it 'marginally airworthy '

Why do you write 'marginally airworthy'? Surely it will be either airworthy or not airworthy? Go or no-go.

Why should the repair not be to LAA standards, on a Cub they shouldn't be too difficult to achieve.

I sent a copy of your post to family and friends. So he will know in a day or so. The problem with that is he may not know how to answer the message or get in touch. So that others who are in direct daily contact are needed to help with AfricaEagle's message:-

l would have thought it would have been easier if MK had trucked the Cub to Wilson. Repairing her in such a remote area is going to be a lot harder and slower.

By the look of things, he's going to be flitting between Nairobi and Loki for a few weeks yet

A contact, based in Loki, has reported that MK crashed his Cub yesterday, 5 nm from the airfield. No further details.

Anyone in contact with his supporters?

According to a video now posted on FB;

What I have heard there was an attempted to take off that was not successful.
He just missed the roof of a school
and came down in one piece.
Can I assume that the a few forum posters will now attempt to ascertain the exact circumstances of the accident, namely who his copilot was, the number of hours they both had, if they should be wearing RAF wings, and make comments on his flying ability....?

This is going from very bad to much worse. We need a Ratty and Mole to grab Mr Toad and lock him away somewhere safe before this ends with an obituary in The Times..

Well I now know it's the poisonous bushes you don't want to fly into.

But if they weren't wearing them, Maurice might have crashed into them. The bush wasn't wearing one, ergo.... it got hit.
