Not really. With some effort I think I could locate the runway, and have tentatively put it on the map:

https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=15/51.6482/-1.3755

Fellow searchers will apreciate the nearest village is in fact called East Hanney.

I don't but I do know someone who used to be based there so if you don't get any replies I will do some digging. What do you fly? It's very much a farm strip in terms of the surface - a bit agricultural - though nice and flat and reasonably unobstructed approaches.

Thanks, that would be very much appreciated. I fly a Christen Eagle.

Plane G-BCPH located at Garford Landmead Farm Airfield

Hello,

I am not a pilot. I registered here because I read on the Internet plane Piper J3 C 65 n° 11225 would be located at Garford Landmead Farm Airfield.

My grand father (Raymond Fleury) owned this plane until December 1974. The plane was sold in England. I also read on Bonhams website it was sold again in 2009.

I think the owner has all the documents and invoices concerning repairs and so on. And perhaps more information.

The former posts here about this airfield make me think perhaps someone could be able to help me to get a contact with the owner of the plane or the owner of the filed.

I hope my post is written at the right place on this forum.

Thank you very much for your help. Best regards.

Thierry Fleury

Hi Thierry
I don't have any contact details for the strip or for the aeroplane. However, if you know the current (or even a previous UK) registration for the aeroplane then you can get the owner's name and address from the G-INFO website.
Good luck

According to the website shown below, the Piper Cub was still at Landmead Farm last month:

Euro Demobbed - Out of Service Military Aircraft in Europe

It shares this location with a number of Gazelle helicopters belonging to Gazelle Squadron / Falcon Aviation
There is an email address on their website which might help https://gazellesquadron.co.uk/contact

Thank you very much for your help. I found very interesting information and I'll try to contact the owner very soon. Many thanks again.

Thank you very much for your help. It's another way to get information if I cannot contact the owner of the plane. Many thanks again.
