Jay,

now, that would be funny. I could just imagine Kirk doing something like that ;-)

The man's a ****, wasting Police time and costing everyone money, just to be "different" and have his fun.
And that IMO, is the state of the nation. The nanny state mentality at its absolute worst. Takes a ****, to know one. We used to say that in Primary 4.

I don't think we need to get 'personal'? Maurice is a polarising character, as such there will be those who love or loathe him - neither being right nor wrong.

The world is a more interesting place with Maurice Kirk in it. If the alternative is dull (ie no middle ground) then I choose interesting.

Mr Council Van.

I appreciate your comments that not being insured is a serious offence.

But before we all scream "won't some body think of the children" just one point to consider. If an uninsured driver is involved in an accident then there is a scheme to look after them.

There's no need to be over dramatic.

I've met MK and live in Taunton. I think the man goes too far and lack of insurance is just one example. Although of course we don't know if he had insurance or not.

It appears that some people consider driving without insurance to be a minor infringement. Do not forget that if an un-insured driver was to cause an accident in which say a child was severely disabled without having insurance the child's life would be considerably more difficult than if insurance was available to provide help to make their life tolerable.
The Motor Insurers Bureau run a scheme to cover uninsured driver losses and injury claims.

Paid for by those of us who do have insurance.
