Do you mean like this Danny?

I have to say that picture and honour winds me up. My youngest son is a Lt on HMS Westminster.

To get there took four years of university plus a year passing RN officer pre entry and another year at Dartmouth.

The Lord High Admiral will be hearing from me over the next few weeks and I will post the reply on here.

TCT had a well funded joy ride with a commercial pilot and engineer up front and claimed all the credit.

In my opinion she has done nothing to promote women in aviation or STEMS.

Danny, as a courtesy, they can be called Commander, just as a Lt. Col in the Army would be called Colonel, like a full Colonel would.

I'm not up to speed with QRs for such, but I think the rule is that the junior rank can be addressed as such by other people, but should not declare it themselves.

Perhaps a well informed Pongo or Fish Head might care to enlighten us all?

What I am sure of, is that writing it down, pretending to have the full rank, is another matter.

I have not seen those PR videos before Above The Clouds.

I am staggered she still implies she has flown "round the world" (sic)

The title of the series is apt.

Renegade...

a person who deserts and betrays an organization, country, or set of principles.
I have yet to see evidence she has flown around the UK

I need to ask Ross Ashcroft some questions. He produced the you tube videos above.

There is never any tribute to the fact that Ewald was up front.

Interesting contribution there Above The Clouds. It certainly underlines her Walter Mitty credentials . Anyone who had no insight into her somewhat questionable past would be forgiven for thinking , 'what an amazing person'. I actually happen to agree with that , but not for reasons that she would appreciate.
She speaks as if she actually knew AJ ! Quote; "I'd always seen Amy as quite demure", Not to mention these little gems at 2:49 & 4:30 where she twice refers to AJ as "not being a very good pilot".....................[]

Plus she didn't miss out on the opportunity to malign the male sex . Irony indeed from someone whose mastery in male manipulation has almost become the thing of legends. In fact , the only males she doesn't like are the ones who see straight through all her pretending and malarkey.

As for those dreadful men down at Stag Lane...Did she actually think she was there ? Not to mention the "white males" , without whom our country's fascinating history would've been just a blank sheet.

What garbage ! But the laughable thing is , she believes it !
And she's fooled better men than me...

Footnote ; My apologies to the fine lady pilots who have contributed to this thread , the gender balance exposes the claptrap spouted forth by Curtis-Taylor.

Jay,
Agree. As an ex RN'er that #4030 picture of her in RN uniform with her scruffy hair makes me cringe.

I have a feeling that our intrepid Aviatrix is about to come to the fore again. My friends that move in slightly different social circles to mere mortals are aware something is "in the air".

Of course she will. I refer you to my posts of July/October 2017. Her (and her team's) game plan is crystal clear and the outcome I predicted then...

In due course, she and her team will win through, her publicity will once again soar, the awards and recognition will come and us on here will all be portrayed as a sorry lot of internet trolls.
...is still very much "in play".

I'm sorry, tis the fake world we live in. *sigh*

From ricardian on the Brevet thread:- The 101-year-old woman who flew Spitfires in WW2 - BBC News

Mary Ellis says she encourages women to take up flying - can you see any difference between her and the one above?

Now you see it, and now you don't.
Where did that last post go? Friends perhaps.
Interesting figures though from a publicly available filed document.

Given any search for TCT returns nothing but details of the rescinded award on the first page, I think you'll find 'The Bird in a Biplane' adventure is now a busted flush and any further attempts to revive it will be met with failure. Probably, much like this thread

Oh no! TCT is going to the Moon, forever!

The Arch Mission Foundation is sending a "Lunar Library" to the moon in 2020 on a private Astrobotic lunar lander. The library consists of tiny discs of laser-etched nickel and includes the contents of Wikipedia and much more.

I agree with you entirely CP. But this business about reviving this thread is a two way deal. If Curtis-Taylor is also happy to accept that the whole thing is a busted flush, then it certainly will find its natural end.
But if, as suggested a few posts back, there are "plans to the fore" - and I have also learned of a last ditch desperate gesture of defiance from her 'team' - then it can only prolong the agony unnecessarily .
As far as I am concerned, it all ended in October 2016. And as CP points out, "any further attempts to revive it will be met with failure".

In my opinion, as an ex BBC producer, any video shot en route by the chase plane has now gone cold.I doubt the expensive footage has any life as a narrative for TCT and her travels.

Trying to sell the story of any Earthrounders video to broadcasters is difficult because it has become routine. The same applies to boaties who take a year going around the world.

This thread is interesting for notching up over a million views without Tracey Curtis Taylor ever answering the allegations she never flew solo.

Meanwhile I look forward to the summer and perhaps Tracey proving us all wrong and flying the Stearman at various displays on her own.

I think that if she has abandoned the 'solo' story, then perhaps she can be left to carry on with the rest of her life?
