Vintage plane crash outside Madrid

footage:

Vintage plane crashes outside Madrid at aerobatics show (VIDEO) ? RT News

strange, my mother always said when they start going down, it's always in three...

Seen the video on liveleak a few times not.

Purely from the evidence caught on film: The pilot was seem to have been executing some sort of high Yo-Yo and appears to have ran out of altitude to complete the manoeuvre.

'course, engine failure of some kind could account for it also. It's impossible to be sure just from the information we have.

read somewhere that he was/ is an experienced F 18 pilot, done various tours etc. Seems also as if in the last moments just befor ground he yanks on the stick andtries to raise the nose... maybe vertigo or black out due to g- forces...but then again he's supposed to be used to that...

Maybe his G-suit failed?

Ran out of sky. He went into the last manouvre too deep to pull out in the space available and indeed just before it dissappears behind the hangar it seems to rotate nose high but to no avail; what he needed was another few hundred feet of height.

Looks like a reverse half cuban that went wrong. He may not have pulled up steeply enough before the half roll. After he had pulled through, there was little he could do.
Reverse half cubans have caught a few people out in this way.
