I can have an educated guess as to what was in those emails...
Pathetic excuses and "poor me" stories.
Requests and/or bribes to remove your review. ("I feel I owe it to myself and my company to ask if you would reconsider...")
Outright lies.
Claims that the other negative reviews are fake and assertions that some random folk have it out for him for unknown reasons.
Warnings to avoid contact with Paul Kerry for your own good along with claims that has has an on-going defamation suit against me...
Lengthy accounts singing his own praises.
Oh... and did I say, outright lies?

Yet another poor, unfortunate person handing over money for goods that Nick doesn't actually possess.
Obtaining money by deception is called FRAUD !
Fraud is illegal. Fraud carries criminal penalties.
Paul..
I´m still waiting for my gps-receiver:-(
I ordered a Duel gps XGPS150E about April 2013 to be used om my boat during the summer. I waited and waited. I got the first mail explaining why I hadn´t received the gps yet, I got the second mail explaining why I hadn´t received the gps yet. Both times it was due to delays in production. I understood and was patient. Finally I called England(from Denmark) asking how long I had to wait. I was told that my order was finalized meaning I should have received the item already. But I hadn´t received anything nor had I received any email about the delievery. In the meantime Duel Electronics had made a new and better gps receiver the Duel XGPS160 and I was intrested in getting that instead even if I had to pay a bit extra. Due to the long wait the employee in customer service offered to deliever the Duel XGPS160 without any additional cost to me. It had been a long wait, but I was looking forward to getting the better Duel XGPS160. The trouble is that I still havn´t received anything from Proviation though I paid a looong time ago. A strange way to conduct business:-(

Of course, the previous review was flagged (almost certainly dishonestly).
It was then followed by a flurry of positive reviews (which I suspect to be fake, of course).
The person who left a negative review has since reposted.

Paul,
Out of interest, I went back to trustpilot.co.uk and of the six reviews that were previously there, five have been removed (pending review), after being reported by "a Trustpilot user".
Interestingly, the only one remaining is a one-star simply titled "Fraud".
PS I love your new word in post 25 - "flaggot"

As per usual, at the regular time, that review was flagged and followed by a glowing review. Coincidence? I think not.
Bloviation's pattern becomes quite clear to anyone who spends enough time watching. I am quite certain that they are faking their own positive reviews.

This thread is watched very closely by Nick, I think you'll find.
It must be so frustrating for him that he cannot simply remove our posts in order to hide what people are saying about him.
He must be so busy running about trying to defend his company against the things people are saying that it's no wonder that it seems that he hasn't got the time to keep on top of the orders he receives.

Here's someone else who should be reading this thread - he might appreciate a PM pointing him in this direction.

Absolutely dreadful company with no customer service skills
I ordered an Ella flying jacket for my girlfriend before Xmas and am still waiting for it. Countless emails have been sent. This company offers live chat and also has phones that are never answered. I leave messages and have had no reply since the 15th January.
I can only think that Nick Ross must have his friends leaving positive reviews. I will definitely not be shopping here again.

Trustpilot also emailed back with this useless response (they didn't even bother inserting the company name "DOMAIN").
Although I am unable to comment on the specific investigation, I can assure you, that we will look into DOMAIN. If we find any reason to take action, we will do so.

I think the problem here is that, if any company posts fake reviews about its own performance, the order numbers will always be genuine as it is they that assign the numbers....
I do think that Trustpilot needs to find a way of addressing fake posts, whether negative or positive, especially in light of the stories about people selling their services as fake review writers.
If they don't do that, they will lose their credibility (obviously already happening here) and thus also their commercial attraction to businesses who pay to use them.

I agree completely with the above post, indeed I would go further. The post on Trustpilot, noted in 472 above, reappeared briefly yesterday morning, with the name removed. It was flagged again within minutes, and has not so far returned.
I consider that to be a dreadful breach of the whole spirit and intent of what Trustpilot is, or should be about. Once reviewed and returned, it should not be possible to reflag it.
Bearing in mind the value of some of the items allegedly not despatched, it would be entirely possible to see a case arising in the High Court. If the apellant argued that the apparent 'sea of green' displayed on Trustpilot swayed him to buy, then I suspect a good Barrister would have fun with the 'duty of care' requirement widely quoted in these compensation driven times.
That duty must, by definition, apply to Trustpilot, or the word trust has no value.
Any lawyers reading this thread?, love to hear your views.

Thanks for the interesting link, amazing the things people will do for $5!, and calls into question even more pointedly, how useful review sites really are.
I suppose the old chestnut 'Caveat emptor' is something we all know about, but it is rather difficult to 'emptor' when the sellers site is full of lovely green stars telling you how good he is, carefully selected of course.
Perhaps one way of addressing the problem would be to require a seller to say how many of his last 100 reviews were 2 star or less......but then who would pay a review service that imposed those restrictions?......answers on a postcard perhaps.....( for emptor read caveat

HA HA...AEAS...took a mere 3 years from founding (doesn't he mean "hatching" )...to "going live" (more like dead in the water!)
ANNNNDDDD......... in 2 1/2 "active" years, this mighty Trade association, with it's lofty aims, which took a further 3 years' gestation, has a vast membership of.......1 !!!! (which, according to the evidence available, is a scurrilous and disreputable outfit that satisfies none of the objectives of the "association".......OH, WAIT,....Now there's a coincidence! the same rogue trader's name is behind both.
£295 , to put a pretend logo on your enterprise?
HOW'S ABOUT joining " CONS" for free! (That's Campaign to Outlaw Nick's Scamming)

Interesting to see we have the company of one of our US cousins reading the thread....if you still watch rottenray, you are a lucky man to live there..spent some time there many years ago, great fun, great people, and remember so many parks and open spaces. Darn cold in the winter sometimes.....have you been bitten as well?
