Don't listen to the naysayers. If you want to do it go for it.
Talk to Vic Norman at Aerosuperbatics at rendcombe. Looks like it's £399 for a trip. Let us know how it goes.

Cusco It perhaps should be pointed out that at the time of the tragic accident incurred by the Franklins, neither were wing walking. Both were in the cockpit and suffered burn injuries from which Amanda has sadly died..
It is a sad fact the aircraft suffered engine problems which could indeed happen to any aircraft. The death of beautiful Amanda is a tremendous loss to her family and the aviation fraternity both. I am sure neither would wish such display activities be fettered in the future by one unfortunate accident.

OK Dawdler, the tragic Amanda just made it back to the cockpit but the engine fire that led to the crash happened during a wing walking routine.
I watched the wing walkers at Duxford Airshow last week, flying in winds which had cancelled many of the displays and take my hat off to them:
I certainly wouldn't do it: and having seen Martin Shaw's Stearman inverted and on fire at Old Buck after a take-off accident a few years ago I certainly wouldn't want to be on the wing at take-off.
Like this poor girl:
Each one to his own.

Cusco,
I know you, I like you and as the sun came up this morning I saw yr reference to Amanda and couldn't work out what you meant. I've met both Amanda's and Kyle's fathers - who perished in a mid-air a few years ago. I've seen Kyle and his dad pefrorm with Kyle on the wing of a jet powered Waco bipe
Thank you for posting that terrible Oz event - aviation can be as dangerous or safe as you want to make it! Spinning in from that height was a lot more cataclysmic than I'd believed possible.
I've spent the last few days doing close formation aerobatics - today, we had a fully-informed passenger. I guarantee that we were not as tight as we were yesterday. It alters the dynamic when you involve third-parties.

Stik: I'm truly flattered by your warm endorsement on the basis of a single meeting over ten years ago:
The OP was expressing a wish to carry out wing walking and was effectively canvassing details of where he could sublimate his desires.
I don't think he'd used the search function, and having read about the Kyles' tragic accident a few weeks ago and with the Amanda Franklin thread already running just six postings below his I linked them for his convenience.
I'm not in any way seeking to besmirch the Kyles' performances: I have seen videos of their act a couple of years ago and they are true professionals: What happened to them with Amanda's loss in an unmitigated tragedy.
I watched the wing walkers at Duxford at the spring Airshow last week flying in winds of 24G35 and have the greatest respect for their undoubted skill.
I'm merely pointing out that wing walking is not a walk in the park for untrained personnel and using examples that are in the public domain expressing a personal desire never to be strapped onto the top of a wing:
Amanda at least had the skill to try and climb back into the cockpit when the engine caught fire: Imagine an untrained joyrider in the same situation as illustarted by the lady in OZ.
Or if as happened to the Shaw Stearman at Old Buck with an EFATO and flip over onto its back with ensuing fire.
I guess I was trying to point out some real risks to the OP>
That's all.
Edit :the system added the definition of E F A T O : I'm not trying to teach Grandma to suck eggs................
