Looking for a C172 G1000 I can hire near London

Hi all,

The title says it all really. I've got use to a bit of luxury recently, and have done most of my recent flying in a C172 equipped with a G1000 in Florida.

Now I am back in sunny old England, I want to keep flying them.

I was just wondering if anyone knew a good club in and around London which has them???

I *think* wycombe air centre has one. I'm pretty sure it's got a 172 with some sort of glass, but then I avoid that kindof thing like the plauge

I understand that Goodwood has some well equipped Cessnas. Not exactly London but not that far if you are SW London.

I'm pretty sure that they now have three - a new one arrived a few weeks ago.

I've flown one of them, and know WAC reasonably well. Nicely looked after aeroplanes (or at-least the one I flew was), and a friendly professional school. I think that you could do worse.

Goodwood have five G1000 equipped C172s.

As previously stated, not exactly London, but close enough and worthwhile enough for me to make the journey most weekends!

Having visited their website I'm amazed at how wealthy the owner is.

Not only does he own the airfield, he also owns the motor racing circuit, the golf course, the hotel, the health club, the shooting grounds, the family estate, the club house, the farm, the horse racing grounds and sells wood from his forest.

What a life! He made it up there alright!
