Thanks to the get Autumn weather we are having.......we got to got to a new farm strip today!
Home Farm Ebrington next to Chipping Campden, (not on any charts), we found it flying back from Croft farm one day.
Got in touch with the owner, who is very friendly, we flew in for lunch today, I have to say the most friendly welcome we have ever had at ANY airfield!!!!!! PPR is needed. [email protected]
The owner even gave us a lift to the pub, Cotswolds Pub, Restaurant and Accommodation at The Ebrington Arms near Chipping Camden
great pub with very good food and service. (best to book first as they get very busy).

Landed at Defford Croft Farm on Saturday, went to the Oak (5 minute walk) which has already been mentioned in an earlier post. It's changed hands and the food is even better!

Plockton. Not a grass strip, but I think it enters into the spirit of the thread.

No facilities at all, sign in and pay landing fee at the wooden box.

There's a 20 minute walk down into Plockton village (used as the set for the TV series Hamish MacBeth). The Plockton Hotel is our favourite hostelry in the village. It's on the harbour front and has a superb menu including fantastic seafood.

For future reference City Airport Manchester (Barton) and the Airfield Lodge are always very good. I would say that as it's my home airfield!

Rosemarket Golf Club West Wales! Google Rosemarket Airstrip is your Friend! A first for most but PPR essential and overfly the strip at 800FT so the Golfers get out of the way and you get a good look as you land between a gap in the hedge! Usual Golf Club faire available plus a very warm welcome and Park alongside the cars!

Hey Guys,
Does anyone have contact details for the owner of the little farm strip 3 miles West of Nuthampstead?(South of a small village of Reed) We saw it on Sunday as we flew into Nuthampstead. (another great lunch at the Woodman).
There looks like a nice pub just up the road from it and we would like to visit...
Cheers

Summer is coming…or was it last month?
Anyway plenty of farm strips and pubs to visit. We found some new ones last year, and hope to find more this year. I must say we have meet some great people on pur trips, and not one bad one. We have always had great friendly receptions at all the strips we have visited.
So below is the list in no particular order, the bold ones we have visited more than once. All with good pubs.
Baxterley
Brimpton
Charlton Park Airfield
Chiltern Airpark
Clutton Hill Farm
Croft Farm
Garston Farm
Hanley
Home Farm
Ledbury
Nuthampstead
Oaksey Park

The below are on our list still to visit. I have put together a spreadsheet with contact details, local pub etc that a few of you have copies of, but am always looking for more information and more strips, so if anyone can add to the list it would be great. Also if anyone has visited any and would like to let us all know how there trip was, please post a reply here.
Cheers and hope for a great summer.

Good work TP. Are you planning to publish a guide?
And are you going to call it "Pilots on the Piss"?

Clutton Hill is a great place, and the one that started the whole thread. Well worth a second visit.

Mods, is there any chance of making this thread a sticky one?
cheers

Do you have a telephone number and perhaps the LAT / Long for Home Farm Ebrington near Chipping Campden?

TIA
