Paul Portelli's Spitfire

Spitfire sale: This munificent man and his flying machine - This Britain, UK - The Independent

What a great achievement for all concerned, especially Paul Portelli. His ashes were scattered over White Waltham airfield last Sunday from the Spit, just the day before it was sold at auction.

I've had a very close look round her and she really is immaculately restored. The attention to detail is excellent and I concur with Mr tuplin that it was a bit on the cheap side!
