Oooo, I like that Cherokee! There used to be a Lake Amphib around here like that, and I thought that it was a real eye catcher!

ZEBY is my all time favourite aircraft. I love flying it. Pax and spotters always interested and it distracts them from the bad landing they are about to witness...........

After seeing that photo I will take a very good look at the port oleo next time I check her.

Do interiors count as well?

One of the aircraft at our club is a PA-28 with the 1960s or so interior: Red velvet and these tiny little curtains you can slide in front of the windows, not thick enough to keep the light out, but just enough to keep people from looking in. Looks like a cheap brothel on the inside, stains on the walls and all.

The INSIDE of any RyanAir aircraft. Why did they think navy and BRIGHT yellow would look well together?

Imagine if Maggie Thatcher was primeminister of Aus when Quantas came up with that one. The size of her hankerchief would have been the size of a duvet to hide it !

BRL,
G-AVSI based at White Waltham used to, but appears from the pic I found of it on G-INFO to have been repainted since. Phew!

IIRC the Waltham Arrow painted like a Red Arrow is G-JESS.

Unfortunately, G-INFO can't confirm or deny this.

Pictures of said aircraft anybody?

.....found it, thanks to airliners.net

Hope that works

englishal: Pray tell, any particular reason why an aircraft belonging to the British Airways Flying Club and painted in the (then) owner's colour scheme should cause humour..?

To change the thread round a bit, we like this one best, an anniversary scheme celebrating 60 years of the Airways Flying Club in 2008. Paint by Mick Allen at Turweston, scheme based on BEA and BOAC Comet 4:

Well, climbing into an aircraft with a fine vintage colour scheme - painted by the splendid Mick Allen - but spoiling the whole effect by wearing a pink flying suit must rank fairly highly in the list of sins.

Wouldn't you say?

Hmmmmmmm?

Hmmmmmmmmmmm?

"Desert Beige", my @rse. That growbag is as pink as a pink thing.
