Bacon Butties at Sandown!!!
OK an unashamed plug for the newly reopened portacabin cafe at Sandown..Isle of Wight airport.
Bacon Butties (very nice they are to!), Tea, Coffee etc now available, no excuse for not visiting now!!!

I second that. I was there on Sunday morning for a coffee. Such a nice place with friendly and enthusiastic people working there - also great to go up in the tower to pay the landing fee!
Had a bit of a chuckle there today. It seemed that every visiting aircraft was crewed by two men and, with us all sitting in the sun outside I thought it looked like a gay bar.
An excellent bacon sandwich and, to prove I'm not gay, I thought that the young waitress was quite tasty too.
Hopefully it will attract more visiting aircraft. It was rather dead when we arrived and, over the radio, it seemed that everyone was going to Bembridge.
