Looking for info on World's longest duration flight
I understand the World's longest duration flight was done back in 1959 in a Cessna 172 and still stands today at a staggering 64 days 22hours!
I'm really interested in finding out more about this incredble achievement but I can't seem to find much detail about it on the internet. Does anyone have any links to websites with more info or perhaps details of any books?

It wouldn't surprise me too much if it were true.
IIRC, the US Navy flew a biplane continuously for about a month - in the 1930s? Refuelled in the air by flying near a moving truck. Topped up the oil with a big oil can - a volunteer walking along a built-in gantry on the side of the aircraft!
I think the aircraft is in the air and space museum in Washington.

Maybe the bucket-on-a-rope was dual purpose?
Jeez! The lengths some people will go to for hours-building! Hope they got a job after this.
