Noiseabatement, does this mean the club's premises are now open again? I thought they would be locked up. Have some people (eg JC) been employed by RMT during this time?

Looking forward to reading your next post.

Thanks

Aero Club

Hi Gang

I think we all know where Noise stands on this one!

Any news?

On a lighter note, if people want to see Noiseabatement in action then go to my website and click on Aircraft Images section, check out the BA A320 close up side shot of the front section of aircraft -that's him!
He contacted me to say he was en route and was I already at my usual position with camera. PM me for website address, do not want to get caught advertising for free on Prune!

Thanks

MRG

NAC

clearfinalsno1:

Will have to be quick here, the club is still closed but these monsters are still hanging around the club as if they own the place, I know JC a bit fed up with being pestered by certain individuals.

JC was asked by the RMT to sort of hold the fort until things were sorted out - I admire him for this.

Topjet: Nice photo, missed the "Bravo" turn off as you know doubt realised.

NACT & NACC

Hi flyers,
Gon Tec;- “put asside past venom & bad feelings”
“self employed instructors”
willing to be a customer of the devil ?
Ist 2 are good suggestions.
Customers can be accomodated in the NACT + Newcastle Aero Co-operative Club Proposal.

Why sell your soul to the devil when you could contribute to flying to heven?
Ie. common ownership of planes etc.

Mu Beta;- “not proposing to run new club”
“I want those who can fly and those who want to learn to be able to do so”
“form a kind of co-operative”

It sounds like we have the some kind of thinking even if I can’t explain it properly!
I suggest the sooner people get organised the quicker they will get in the sky.

Noise;- ‘Sean 377… nominee for ….”NACT” pilot team …good on you…..Go for it!’

I see that as a seconder for Sean377!!!!

Sean377;- “volunteer for my 1st job as a nominee to organise a ????…?? meeting”

I see that as a clear demonstration of a good team member!

I understood that to mean you are willing to organise the first TEAM UP meeting of all those people interested in using the Newcastle Aero Club site & working co-operitively to get in the sky at the earliest possible time.
The agenda I assume will be to consider forming a pilot team, what (if anything) can be done. What we all could do. What each of us will volunteer to do?
Then either go for it & have a pint or if no consensus is formed, drown our sorrows in a wake to the former Newcastle Aero Club!
With no hard feelings.
(all informal of course)

I suggest the sooner the better. Will you be circulating information and / or make a public announcement re - When, Where, and What time?

Hope2
Ps, Lets hope it dose not fall on deaf ears this time eh!?

Exclamation Hope 2

In reality what you propose is the return to a committee in all but name, under the disguise of a " charity ". It did not work previously

We had a flying school and bar, What have we now.

I stand by what I previously posted, We had a death, post mortem, funeral and wake for NAC as the members that attended well know, unfortunately she is no longer and our fate lies in the hands of others.

I admire your tenacity, but letting individuals run a buissness as a co-operative is a non starter.

I still think there will be a law against what ever you are on or have you been at the sherry again ? ( nothing detrimental meant)

We Hope 2 again

Well, I can arrange a get together, but it will not be this weekend, unless....

1. It's short notice, but I'll be at The Keelman, Newburn, tomorrow (22nd) from 1200 - 1500 for this event, should you wish to come along;

2. I'll be in The Salutation, Tynemouth Front Street, Sunday 1600hrs for the footie.

Paris Dakar

I have no idea if its the end of flying training or not. There haven't been any formal anouncements, all I know is what I heard from John, who was kept on to hold the fort by RMT.
I do know that P45s have gone out to the instructors.

To all Newcastle Flyers. Please remember that in spite of the lack of a club you are cordially invited to the Controller/Pilot Forum at MME on 8th March. You are all most welcome. Please see the other posts in this Forum and also in ATC issues.

NAC / NACT (update)

Hi Flyers.

There is only one seconded nominee so far.
Minimum of three required to progress.

I trust people realise I am aware it is more than unlikly the NACT proposal will not be prepared in time to meet the Administrators target time for completion. The proposal for a meeting of former NAC & future flyers was to prepare a co-operating group for any possibility that may arise from the unfortunate demise of NAC or to spark a re- incarnation.

In either case it is an attempt to preserve the living heritage of our region if people so wish.

I wrote earlier if there is no identifyable group through which to communicate with former genaral members of NAC/ future flyers in the region and potential funders. There will be no Charitable Trust and probable no real general flying club in the Newcastle region. That is still my opinion.

I did not win the lottery last night.
Still one last hope before the last post!

NAC/NACT (waffle & chatter)

Hi Flyers,
Sean377. Thanks for responding;
“keep an open mind”
“not sure what to do”
“suck it and see”
The words of a true pioneer of flying who has the spirit of adventur. Perhaps you are the only former NAC man with the origional pioneer spirit genes in ther blood.

Who dares wins & long may you prosper.
Please keep up the good work.

Gon Tec;- “we had a flying school & bar” - “what now”
“had wake etc for NAC as members who attended well know.”
“our fate lies in hands of others”
“return to committee --- disguised as charity”------- “it did not work previously”

Sorry My mistake! I thought it was a flying club you had and a flying club people wanted. I believe it is a flying club that is needed not a separate school & social club. What now is up to individuals effort and what they choose to accept or do I think.

Sorry I missed the wake.( If it was AGM on 9th Dec I was denied access as non member. )
Being charitable can begin at home and includes considering other peoples needs as well as our own.
Berevement councelling is recommended to help people get back on with their lives ASAP.

We do depend on others. It is a rare person who can survive entirely alone in this world today.
However it may be possible to be assertive towards those others. If they do not know our needs they will not consider them. Remember “by your own efforts so shall ye rise”

Committee’s! Decision-making groups in one guise or another run all organisations & businesses. Even tyrants depend on groups they control to maintain their position.

“It did not work previously “????? It was reputedly the longest running club of its kind in the country. It ran for 79 years befor crashing. It may have had some ups and downs most aero’s do. Wether this is just another down or the final crash depends on ???

If the original pioneers of flying gave up after the first down or crash there would be no aircraft or airports today.

After every aircraft crash there is a detailed investigation to determin the cause.
Ways to prevent a repeat crash are then considered.
Mechanical failures or design defects are changed or improvements made.
Where people or procedures fail new rules or procedures are put in place in an effort to establish failsafe systems.

The purpose of investigation is to learn and improve.
The suggested NACT & NA( C )C design is one of those possible which may prevent a repeat crash.
However if people prefare an owner who may considers a club is a thing to knock people for their own pleasure pursuits & profit. Well!!???

Whatever those hands of fate decide I made an effert to effect them & benefit our future.
I can be tenacious when I think it is worth the effort but soon there will be nothing to hold on to.
Then I will let it go.

Whatever happens I think there will be flying and a bar from the site. So those who can afford it will still be able to get high and then have a pint to relax.

They will be happy – the rest of us unfortunatly will have to rely on sherry to get merry eh!!!!

Cheers
To flying high

He's talking about you Sean. While your singing his praises, just thought i'd mention he is currently treasurer of the cheapest aircraft to fly on the airfield, Cherokee 140 @ £40/hour - don't get any better than that.

As good as it gets off me! pint on friday and we'll call it quits.

Hope2Fly sightings

STOP PRESS:

Hope2Fly was spotted at EGNT today impatiently trying to get a face to face meeing with Noiseabatement, having taken umbrage at noise's last post:

http://images.google.co.uk/images?hl...ourKid2WorkDay

After being escorted into the arrivals terminal, H2F shocked onlookers when he took a sip of his usual "metamorphosing insanity potion" before formulating his next PPRUNE post in the airport Internet cafe:

http://members.aol.com/hayhurst1/images/geek.jpg

Police advise members of the public to avoid confrontation. This man is mad !

NAC NACT (waffle & chat from airport internet cafe)

Hi Flyers,
Noise; - I agree with everything you say except I have been in contact with airport authority officers.

In my opinion charitable option is the better option than others I was aware of.(see earlier post).
In addition the two-tier structure has the potential to build in monitoring procedures to attempt failsafe system as mentioned to Gon Tec above. Hopefully avoiding management foul-ups. When both tiers achieve regestered status the legal system should streangthen protection of the resources. It will still rely on the integrity and participation of those involved as any organisation dose.

For my mind the most important ‘better bit’ is the true club spirit that can be achieved by developing a learning environment with a charitable culture of shareing for mutual benefit. Idealistic, I know & not the done thing (in this day & age/ world today) but some people are like that and some clubs do achieve it some of the time.

All charitable doners do not target the needy groups mentioned. The business I mentioned giving £1,000,000 has the capacity to give more to other areas of need.(Northern Rock I believe donates a set % of its profits to charitable & community projects of variouse kinds. Benificiaries changing from time to time) All that aside charity begins at home if the club has a charitable nature members can also contribute individual fund raising activities to buy the planes etc. and the homeless, sick and needy children may then benefit from the clubs own flying activities.

Potential funders of the ‘clubs’ operation are people like Elia and Balinger. Elia was projected in this forum to have charitable feelings for the members. Has anyone asked him yet if he would still be interested in helping in any way? I do not know anything of Mr Balingers proposal has any one asked if he is interested in being charitable or in teemworking.

Perhaps not in driving seat but passengers can effect where the pilots/drivers take them.

Out of depth. I never realy intended getting this far in and never envisaged doing it myself. It is too much for one person alone anyway that is why teemwork can be an advantage. The sum of a team is greater than the sum of the individuals it comprises of. The task I attempted should have been done in the previouse two years by either GAAC. Their objective is to protect GA facilities and ensure its future. Or alternatively The Royal Aero Club Trust & Royal Aero Club Their role is to co-ordinate, promote and protect clubs like NAC I think. Perhaps they should include educational support in their services and aims.

Why were these national organisations not involved earlier?

I imagine that most initial proposals do not have the money up front at that stage. They have until final offer to collate it. I also genuinly believe that RMT would like to have seen the members club survive if at all possible. My proposal was the only one that tried to achieve it I think.

I hope to get my final update from RMT tomorrow so untill then……..

Aero Club

Hi Gang

AEROsmithy - Hi mate, I think a few have gone to Teeside - sorry Durham Tees Valley, some to Carlisle and a couple to Northumbria but from what I gather the majority are hanging on in there hoping things work out for the best.

Noise - What have you been doing, terrorising the female staff in the hotel on your night stopovers? Not surprised the cabin crew are put up in a different hotel!

Any news yet????

Cheers

M

Started off not bad mate, but I've been barred from most of the sites already.

I remember you saying the supermarkets were not bad, so I might try them this week.
