8 Messages Before I can Post URL's
 

First of all, let me say that I think PPrune is a great site, moderated by Amateurs, so this is not in any way a Complaint!

I only post here occasionally, although I lurk constantly.

So I wanted to post some photos, but I received the Message "You cannot post URL's until you have minimum 8 Posts".

But I had made 8 posts ! I checked "My Posts" and it listed 8.

I uploaded my photos to My Album, thinking that this would not be considered to be "URL's" but the same message appeared.

So the I looked at MY Profile and it stated " Total Posts 6" !

So I made 2 more rather spurious posts, checked that My Total Posts had increased to 8 Posts, and tried again.

Success !!

I conclude:

1. Photos in My Album are treated as "URL's" although they have previously been uploaded.

2. Maybe there is a time limit during which you must post your 8 Posts ??

I hope this post may inform others usefully.

Check the location of your posts, I think the ones in Jet Blast don’t count towards the total needed.
