New display of Forum Jump selector

Over the past few weeks, I have occasionally noticed a different display of the Forum Jump selector.

Sometime it is the regular display:

and sometimes it is a new style, at the bottom of the page:

The type of display changes, quite randomly. I'm using Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6 and Safari 12.0.2.

Is anyone else seeing this behaviour?
