How do I post a photo

Help. I want to upload a photo from i-photos. Sometimes it works, but not today, and some previous attempts.
Open a 'reply' post.
Go to advanced.
Select the photos into chosen file
Upload.
Fail.

It is an i-phone photo, I assume jpeg. The upload limit is >16MB so a single photo is nowhere near that. Suggestions?

Thanks.

Photo upload is working.

You must have your photo online, like the one above, and enter the link that includes a URL. This can be done by adding the photo to your PPRUNE album under User CP.

Or you can just attach the photo from your computer, by clicking GO ADVANCED and using manage attachments, like this:

If you want bigger pictures - The Approved Method

User Cp on top yellow menu line above - Pictures and Albums - create Album - Upload picture - gives you chance to upload 3 jpegs at a time - once uploaded you can copy either the BB or the other link

Go to thread you want to post on - Reply - picture symbol and paste in the link

Only problem is that it seems to only allow 25 to 30 pictures per Album so you have to delete the oldies every so often

In the new year we will change the uploader and Gallery. It will be easier to upload pics from any device including phone, more pics at a time, and more pics in albums.

Is it possible to include a photo from an iPhone now? I can't figure out how to do it.

Ibobi - will it be possible to link from the thread directly instead of having to drop back to the user CP etc??

Not from your iphone photo library; you must first host the photo somewhere so that it has a URL, then you can link from there and the link will parse automatically and the picture will be displayed in thread.

What do you mean exactly?

Do you know what is the reason why to post a url link or video you have to have at least 10 posts?
Thanks

I would like to add a picture from a desktop folder to a post, is "copy and paste" not worthy!

For a file on your system here it how it works in Windows. I think there are limits on width, height, total size, and number of images. Error message on exceeding limits is a simple fail message. If you have a link you can put it in the "From URL" box on the first screen. In that case the image is not stored on pprune and will disappear if the link subsequently fails.

If you just hit the "scenery" button above you get the screen below - you can just pull pictures directly onto the big white arrow - once they show hit upload top right . I think they have to be JPGS or similar
