Malicious ads on mobile site
All PPRune pages are being hijacked by ads on my Android phone (doesn't matter if I'm signed in or not or using incognito mode). They're the kind that block the back button and have sound effects claiming prizes are waiting etc. All the domains are *.best.
Any chance you can report it to your ad provider?

Firefox mobile browser with ublock origin add-on will protect from these, been using it for years. If you do happen to click a dodgy link it tells you and doesn't go there.

It has been happening intermittantly for a couple of months only very occasionally but has recently got much worse for me to the point now I cant browse without adblock on this site.
others reporting it too on the bt survey thread below.

I have seen similar issues over the past weeks and have come to the unfortunate conclusion that Pprune can only be visited with agressive ad blocking turned on. It is unfortunate because I'd like to support the site...

Started affecting me last night as well on my Samsung phone. Still doing it today, only seems to happen on PPRuNe; Malwarebytes and Avast say phone is clean.

Same as Treadigraph
Brand new Nokia 7plus, and I can't actually get to Pprune on it at all [due to these hijack attacks] no matter what browser or settings I use. Before this phone I had a Nokia lumia 930 Windows phone and never suffered any problems at all. If I go to this site on any of my laptops or desktop machines I get not trouble. If I put the sim card back in the Lumia I still don't have any trouble - it's just when using an android phone on this site. I've seen people complain about it and I've seen the site admins try to distract with the usual "it must be your browser or settings" twaddle which is patently untrue, and no actual action.
I think we are left to reluctantly assume that the site's owners value the income from the malicious advertisers far too much to worry about the damage they do to site-users devices.

Affecting me on iPhone too.
I have installed AdGuard on my phone (you also have to adjust a couple of things in your phone’s Safari settings) and it seems to have done the trick.

Pleased to report PPRuNe on my phone is no longer plagued by the problem this morning - fingers crossed - so perhaps Ibobi and her colleagues have neutralised the problem. If so, thank you!
