PPRuNe clock

The clock alternates between GMT and GMT+1.

Is this a problem with my browser or is anyone else experiencing the same problem ?

I guess pprune thinks you are moving between UK and somewhere in western Europe. Pprune likely uses your IP address to figure out where you are. Maybe you use a WiFi service that is sending your traffic into the internet from somewhere you aren't?

Maybe you sometimes use a VPN or a proxy to access pprune?

I have tested with a proxy and the time displayed changes as you describe as I "move" from UK to Switzerland.

Use say whatsmyip.org and click on "More info about you" and it will tell you where your IP address is registered as located. It should be the right country but not necessarily the correct town.

I suspect the browser can provide location info too. Google are VERY keen on this. A mobile phone will track you through WiFi signals and mobile phone info. Web pages can I think ask the browser where it thinks it is. Unless you have turned it off the browser will provide "location" info when requested.

If you use a satellite ISP then they could be presenting you anywhere.
