Changes on site?

I just went to refresh R&N and it seems to have become a private forum. Is that because I've pissed off the mods or are others seeing it too?

No problem when I access R&N. However I have noticed some delays accessing PPRuNe.org recently.

Yes. It may or may not come back in a few weeks - experiences vary.

Knowing what I did to offend them would be nice, as others have mentioned in the past, otherwise how do I know what not to do next time. I can't think of anything I've done that was bad, either.

But suddenly the advertising isn't responding to my Adblocker, and the screen has ads every 3 or 4 posts, and down the side. Don't like it.

If you updated your contact details to a functioning email address, that would be a good start.

<FX: Goes and checks email address> OK, mine works, although I assume you were talking to rogerg there.

The only issue I have is the UK Politics hamsterwheel. Clicking the "last page" I get a "The page isn't redirecting properly". Going to the address bar and reducing the number prior to the .html by one brings success.

So what exact errors are people getting? Blank Pages? "You don't have permission" warnings? Please post screenshots.

When I try to access R&N, this is what I see.
ELondonPax, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
  1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to access a private forum, administrative features or some other privileged system?
  2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

If you've previously been able to access it then it sounds like you've pissed off the mods too, that's what happened to me. If you go to the top level when the forums are listed you'll see it marked as private. No explanation as to what you did wrong or how long the ban is going to last (and by the accounts of some, it can be pretty indefinite).
