What I mean is, are there aviation companies in Australia that require you to be contactable during your rest period? Crewing can call me if they like, but I don’t have to answer if I don’t want to.

I doubt many external jet hires have a current NZ licence. The licence becomes current through the normal course of training anyway.

That one is actually easy enough, within 45 NM of TESAT (overhead YSSY) up to FL280. Normally they are pretty bad though. Any with lat/longs are hopeless.

You’ve just described “casual”. I certainly wouldn’t commit to a mortgage and other long term expenses that required me to work 70 hours a month if I was on a casual contract.
