A319s and rodents with a hacksaw
I spent a couple of hours yesterday in an Airbus A319. I've wondered before, and decided that I need to know, what on earth is the cause of the noise that sounds like a hyperactive ferret using a blunt hacksaw underneath the floor.
I've noticed it before on A319s, and never on anything else. Its only occurs when stationary before the flight starts, I suspect its some form of compressor or similar - but if my car ever made a noise remotely like that I'd be underneath it with an inspection lamp looking to see what was falling off!!! |
cargo door closing ??

This one again. Don't worry, everyone has to find out the first time.
Look up A320 Hydraulic Power Transfer Unit with the Search. Plenty of threads about it. |
Thats it. Thanks. I could have done a search, but I'm not sure what I'd have searched for.!!
I still reckon it could do with a spray of Duck Oil tho'!! |
Damn!
We've warned the baggage handlers about loading the ferrets and hacksaw blades into the same cargo container.;)
