Ryanair under 16 policy.
I´m a little confused with this policy. In Ryanair's terms and conditions it states;
Ryanair does not carry unaccompanied minors (under 16 years). Children under the age of 16 years must always be accompanied by a passenger over 16 years. Escort and special facilities are NOT available. Croatian routes: Children aged 14-18 travelling to or from Croatia without their parents or legal guardian must carry with them: - A valid passport or government issued National Identity card along with a written permission, signed by the parent(s) or legal guardian. This written permission must be notarised by a Croatian embassy/consulate or local authorities. If not notarised at the embassy/consulate, an official legal translation into Croatian will be required. |
Cymmon, these Croatian rules concern Croatians travelling with ANY airline. As FR do not allow children under 16 to travel unaccompanied, in case of Ryanair the policy you've mentioned applies to young people from Croatia (citizens only) between 16 and 18 years of age, not younger ones.

I think it means that young Croatians travelling without their parents, but with another adult relative or family friend, need to have the relevant parental permission.

I'm with ConstantFlyer on this one. The key words are "without their parents or legal guardian".
|
Right. No Croatian under 16 years of age can travel alone, but ALL Croatians between 14-18 must have a written permission issued by parents/ legal guardian if not accompanied by them.

That sort of sums it up , no legal guardian , permission required from said guardian
