KLM FF - Whats the point?
 

Have spent a little time just pondering on spending some KLM FF points.

Am I the only one that thinks its a rip off?

Looked at various European sectors (via AMS) and compared the "offer" with points to air fares with the operator from the web.

Take London to Munich in October. 20,000 points and 192 euros in tax etc.

YET - on the website can get the fare at 156 pounds including tax without using any points!

This is all during the Oktoberfest hence reason for high fare in the first instance i imagine.

It's not only with KLM. Personally, I won't use miles for relatively short sectors because it's just a waste. Best wait till you have enough for longer sectors.
