There's a private message waiting for you to pick up - or there should be

Sorry, radeng! I never notice that bit where it says you have X private messages!;)

You can set your preferences so you get sent an e-mail whenever you receive a private message. Use the "user cp" link at the top right hand corner of the page and then go to "Edit Options". There's a dazzling array of choices.
