Transit through Addis Ababa to Windhoek
Would appreciate some info for my sister soon travelling from LHR to Addis Ababa, connecting to Windhoek, both sectors on Ethiopian Airlines.
After passing through security at LHR, she intends purchasing a few toiletry and medication liquids for her hand baggage, but anticipates some items might exceed the individual liquids limit. Her question is: After her arrival at Addis Ababa, as a transit passenger, will she then be security screened before boarding to Windhoek? She naturally wishes to avoid her any of her liquid purchases having to be binned at Addis! Any info very welcome. |
Flyertalk forum is a good place for recent updates - I know you cannot do this connecting from INTL to INTL at JNB and I have a feeling that ADD is the same - No.
Many of pals use ET often LHR-ADD-CPT or NBO - I'll try and get an answer for you. Was ET LHR-WDH via ADD your only choice>? |
Thanks for that rog747, pretty much as I'd thought. Regarding the airline/routing that was entirely my sister and her partner's choice, flying to Windhoek and then overland to Victoria Falls. They have travelled in Africa previously but they're both unfamiliar with Addis.
