Update from CPT. Internally, the govt still have strong mask rules when indoors. On the flight JNB-CPT with Safair, we were repeatedly told to wear masks throughout the flight, on pain of being reported to the authorities. Everyone did as asked. Those exempt from mask wearing to speak to cabin crew.

The flight was good on a 734, all as one would expect from an LCC. We had not used Safair before but they have been freight carriers here for decades before moving into passenger service and have a good reputation. We shall be using them on the rtn to JNB.
