Four people were injured and 17 people were arrested after a fight broke out at London Luton Airport. Bedfordshire Police said the incident happened at about 08:00 BST on Friday. The force said three people were taken to hospital with serious injuries and those arrested, on suspicion of violent disorder, were taken into custody for questioning. A spokesman for the airport said it was "shocked and saddened" by the incident in the airside main departure lounge. He added: "We take a zero tolerance approach to violence and continue to assist the police with their inquiries. We would like to sincerely apologise to any passengers affected." |
And just for a change they weren't British :) Frankly, although I would never condone violence of any sort, having worked at LTN for six months, I think that area of the terminal could just incite me to violence if I'd been incarcerated there for a couple of hours!

Eleven charged after fight breaks out at Luton Airport - BBC News Am I right in thinking that whilst most British citizens are not permitted to travel, it seems people from eastern Europe are free to come and go at will?. A look at the LTN monitor seems to show about 85% of the passenger flights are to or from eastern Europe. |

Gotta get those cars washed and the strawberries picked - our own are too lazy to do it.
Why do people continually take the view that people are lazy just because they don't want do this sort of work for a pittance? |
This topic is already running in Luton Airport thread [Airlines, Airports & Routes]. If you really want to get stuck in, please walk to the far side of our airport, to where they test jet engines.
