New Boeing overhead storage
Boeing shows off cabin bins that hold 50% more cases - BBC News
The bins will be fitted to some 737 aircraft from the end of this year, the company said. The new design will mean a 2in (5cm) reduction in headspace for passengers, it said, but air vent and light controls will be easier to reach. |
Thats good but I would prefers the airlines enforced their own restrictions on Size and no of pieces allowed and leave our headroom !
THAT would speed up boarding and get the aircraft back in the sky and earning money |
5cm of headroom, which is used for perhaps 10 minutes in total, is well worth it. The Mrs. can't reach the air vents / light switch today so she won't miss it.
Of course it won't actually deliver what they promise, not everyone has exactly the same size bag, but it will be an improvement. |
If this does become standard on 73s then I think it is a good but how long it will take pax to learn to stand the bag on it's side???

Yes killtrash, brilliant !
And while said aircraft has long long departed, the passengers are still waiting for their hand luggage to appear on the carrousel. but i'm guessing you don't fly much with carry on... |
