ANZ Business Class?

Any experience of Air New Zealand's Business Premier? They are a relatively cheap option LHR - HKG.

Thanks.

Tightslot should be able to advise, as I beleive he works for that airline.

pcat160 16th Apr 2012 14:58

It is very good. Definitely superior to CW.

Hotel Tango 16th Apr 2012 15:13

Is that LHR-HKG via AKL? Or do they fly LHR-HKG direct?

LondonPax 16th Apr 2012 15:16

That's LHR - HKG direct, I hope! I think they then fly on to AKL.

PAXboy 16th Apr 2012 18:27

Yes, direct to HKG. They have an east-about and West-about route to AKL, with the Eastern route marginally faster if going to AKL.

Thanks, good to know.

I'm a great fan. Excellent food & drink. Bed is completely horizontal. All seats have direct aisle access (herringbone pattern) and the cabin staff I've experienced have always been really open and friendly. If you're collecting miles on Star Alliance I reckon it should be your first choice.

LondonPax 17th Apr 2012 11:34

Thanks for the responses. May well give it a try.

TightSlot 17th Apr 2012 18:11

I try not to respond to ANZ specific questions because that would clearly be an abuse of the mod priviledge - Even though I would love to...

ExXB 17th Apr 2012 18:54

Air New Zealand did win the ATW airline of the year award last year ...

Great beds, great people, great wine. Has to be one of the very first choices :)

I had my first experience with a New Zealand white wine on a BA DUS-BHX flight in economy many years ago (when economy pax were still dined and wined - albeit mainly with plonky wines). I was so impressed with it's quality in comparison to the usual plonk that one was accustomed to in Y that I went looking for NZ wines to try. At the time they were not easy to find on this side of the Channel. NZ became, and still is, my all time favourite in the production of whites. Sorry, I have digressed :oh: I've always heard good things about NZ Business Class and I'd like to try them out. Guess I'll take a little detour and try the LHR-HKG next time I'm heading that way.
