Laptop + Hand luggage EMIRATES

Can someone please advise me on Emirates policy on this. I have had no luck on their website.

Can I carry a laptop in a case as well as 1 set of hand luggage?

Or does the laptop have to be in the handluggage etc.

Cheers.

Hello,

Yes, you can carry on a laptop along side other luggage. Imagine the case of duty free, you won't be having one bag.

I travel often, via several different Airlines.

Willingpilot is right. When I fly Emirates (usually economy) I take a handbag plus a laptop bag and have never had any problems. However they do often weigh your handluggage and are pretty strict on the weight limit (either 8kg or 10kg). I think Emirates are more concerned about weight than volume so as long as you make sure you're not too heavy you should be fine.

Anansis,

Correct. I checked in one carry-on at about 9 kg. He asked if I had a laptop in the bag, I said yes, and he said perfect.

The laptop was actually a netbook so I gained a kilo in the deal.
