Inflight modesty
Has anyone come across this Tel Aviv - Breslov Chasidim Don 'veils' En Route to Rabbi Nachman's Tomb -- VosIzNeias.com yet?

Sounds right!
The charedim had a thing a few years ago about not flying over cemeteries (on the premise that you can't walk on graves and cohanim, descendents of priests, can't even enter a cemetery). So I recall they started laying bags or foil on the airplane floor as a "workaround". I think finally a more enlightened rabbi granted a dispensation that if you're thousands of feet up and moving at 1000km/h, it doesn't count...
Incidentally, EZY from LTN-TLV is always crammed full of frummers, and one of them told me that among the reasons is that there are no TV screens! |
Apart from the fact that the flight is taking them to their chosen destination at the lowest cost, already.
