Ryanair children policy

I want to fly the Ryanair Liverpool-Bremen route in May 2010. However, I'm just 15, so their policy of not carrying children under 16 without adults accompanying them would apply and they deny me boarding. So my basic question is whether Ryanair can actually deny people boarding, because they are under 16.

I'm frequent flyer with Lufthansa and not only for that cannot understand the reason for this denial. I need to take this flight because there is no other way to get back to Bremen that day without flying to another airport. I would just like to know your opinions on that. Maybe there has been some sort on incident?

This is not supposed to be another Ryanair-Hatred-Thread, I just want to know what you think about this.

simple answer - yes they can. it is part of the terms & conditions that you accept when making the booking.
