UK Apd

I cant understand why it is that no one seems to be kicking up a fuss about the impending increases in the UK APD charges effective 01Nov!:}
In Holland they have scrapped their impending increase to assist the ailing airline industry and more to the point their tourism industry.
Why cant el Gordo see that the whole country is in dire straights not just the cars and banks, and any increases will cause less and less people to fly and as such he will not see any great increases to the revenue he rakes in from the airline industry.
Also the less people fly the more you will see airlines laying off staff and as such a greater strain will be put on his coffers with them all claiming the dole and any other benefits

Do a search of the forums - there have been at least three or four threads recently regarding the upcoming APD increase

If they know they're out of power at the next election, why will they change their views? :confused:

ive signed the petition but alas with only 1826 signatures it seems el Gordo will not be persuaded to change his mind:confused::confused:

It's probably a reflection of how much attention the population thinks that Gordy & Darling-Darling will pay to the country's opinion as they crash & burn between now & the next election, as the debts just keep mounting up & up.:{:{:{

Anyone for emigration?
