From our chums in Africa .........

Accra, Aug. 21, GNA - The Liberians, who were on board a Ghana Air Force Forker 27 plane, that failed to take-off at the Kotoka International Airport were screened and discharged at the Aviation Clinic.
There were no casualties except that the majority of them were traumatised. They have since returned to their hotels.

The 44 passengers and crew included representatives of the Liberian Governments, rebels and various political parties that attended the just ended Liberian Peace Talks in Accra.

They formed the second batch of the delegates that were returning to Liberia.

They must have been traumatized before they got onto a Ghana Air force airplane to even agree to try to fly on it.

Quote from the BBC website

"

Meanwhile, several delegates to the peace talks, which ended after two months in Accra, were reportedly injured when the wheels fell off the Ghanaian military plane taking them home.
How can the wheels fall off an aircraft?????

:O An MAS B737-200 lost the whole right main oleo, including of course the wheel assembly, on approach to KUL back in the early 90s (gave a whole new meaning to the phrase "gear down"). It only needs one error to cause an incident.
