Don't Lose Your BA ticket ...
Thursday morning: Check in at LTN for usual short hop to IOM for long weekend with mother.
Somewhere between check-in and departure, I lose my return ticket coupon but do not notice until ...
Monday evening when checking for the morning departure.
Check with BA, and quote the locator and she finds the booking in a trice. "No problem, just go to the ticket desk on Tuesday morning and they will re-issue your ticket."
"Well, thank you very much that is very helpful of you, Good B........"
"There will be an administration charge of £25."
"Well, thank you very much that is very g@dd@m friqqin helpful." (Except I didn't say that to her, as it was not her fault). I wonder if good old Manx Airways would have charged for re-issue?
There is no E-ticket available on the IOM/LTN route, as it is the only BA flight into LTN and they use Servisair as an agent. With one flight a day, I cannot see us getting self-check in for some time to come.
This morning, to re-issue the ticket took nearly ten minutes of key punching and deep perusal of the screen. I concentrated on the extra FFMs that I would score off the £25 hit on the BA Amex card.

I got no Easter eggs.
I saw my dentist six weeks ago and a full check up and x-ray showed no problems.
Back to the brandy ...
I do not object to BA charging for a lost ticket, it was just the high cost. Having never lost a ticket before in my life, I was somewhat taken aback.
and this is the only icon that looks as if it has toothache

When he applied for a job, my son had to get a form signed by his dentist to say that his teeth were in good condition. He had recently had a checkup so it only took a few seconds for the dentist to sign the form
How much was he charged?......you guessed it..........£25.

BA are not the only ones who do it...im a SLF Agent for FlyBe in the IOM and we have to use that stupid charge as well...all it means is the passengers get more frustrated and angry and it takes longer to in-put all the credit card numbers etc!!! (not as long if you pay with cash but still time consuming!)

Had a ticket stolen once (from my hotel room of all places), and TWA charged, I believe, $50 to reissue the ticket. This was sometime around 1992 I suppose, can't remember exactly.

Reminds me of the good old days of the handwritten tickets. I symapthise with you. Considering the amount of information (does anybody even look at it I wonder) you have to put in! Reminds of those old horror days whenI used to pray that every time time a phone wrings "oh god let it not be on reissues"!
Sp PAx Boy, lesson for you! Dont even dream of lossing a international ticket half way into your next international multi sector trip! You might ened up spending a lot of time in the airport pub downing your worries and frustrations! And you thought 10 minutes was LONG!!!!!

Multi-sector internationl?? Hhmm, a charming thought.
Have now learnt that the tooth might be saved but that means a specialist to look at for a 'special' fee before he tells me that he can save it for a sum that made my eyes water.
An extraction poses risks too but is a faster route to the bar....

...your probably right considering all you need is the locater number!!! lol ..... shame there is not many place's that issue E-Tickets (apart from LCY and BHD) they are a lot easier and there is not way that you can loose it at home or have it stolen!!
