Anyone bumped from BA 58 CPT-LHR Monday 11 March 2013

We flew back from CPT to LHR on BA58 on Monday 11 March. I knew that the flight was well overbooked because my original seat reservation from June had suddenly disappeared. When I phoned BA & eventually spoke with a senior manager he said "Oh, the flight's well overbooked, we're just praying for no shows!" I therefore took great care to confirm my seat well in advance although it took quite a battle. Brian in the Manchester call centre was most helpful, many thanks.

When I checked in I asked the agent how many were being bumped. "Oh, about 11 off your flight & 20 off BA 42 an hour later" was her unconcerned reply.
"When will the pax find out?" I asked.
"When they try to check in" came the reply.

Is there anyone reading this thread who was bumped? I'm interested as to what happened next & what you were offered by BA.
