Ryanair has some nerve!
Not only are many passengers charged to print their own boarding passes, they also now pay to read adverts (and fork out extra in printer ink to print these adverts if using their own printer).
(I think that BA, too, may carry adverts on OLCI boarding passes.)

Just a quick question....
I was doing online check-in for my flight, I entered my passport details (number, country of issue, date of expiry, etc....) but they do not appear on the boarding pass. The only thing that appears is the nationality. All the passport details used to appear on the boarding pass (last time I flew was in December), have things changed or is there a mistake on my boarding pass? Are all passport details meant to appear on the boarding pass?

I think it's a question of getting pax info to satisfy the conditions of API required by various countries as security details of the passengers arriving on various flights ..................

Ryan Air Oline check in failure?
Anyone like me having no response this afternoon from Ryan air on line check in web page having inserted all their flight details?
Also no response from their Contact us...telephone lines.

Actually, I have had this happen to me a couple of times over the years. Both times I was unsucessfully trying to check in online the evening before morning flights and upon arriving at the airport, the ground staff acknowledged that there had been a problem with the online system and checked me in without charging me.
The only thing is that it is difficult to know whether the problem lies with you or with ryanair until you actually get to the airport. Do you have the latest version of adobe reader and the latest versions of your internet browser (firefox, i.e. etc...)?
Maybe try another computer. If you still dont have any joy then its probably safe to say that the problem lies with the airline website. If this is the case they should allow you to check in at the airport without charging you.

Thank you for that information...I am still trying and so far have tried on three different computers with no luck...the website is working...but the execute button when clicked upon seems dead...I will let you know how it works out.
I confirm all the computers have the latest abode etc.

Pleased to report success... after 30 hours of trying... to print off a Ryan Air boarding pass.
Following your advice I downloading Firefox and used it and it was all PFM.
I was having no success with Google Chrome as the browser on all the computers...do not know why?

Ryanair online booking strange experience
I have just booked tickets with Ryanair from Denmark to Stansted, and for the first time I got careless and made a mistake with the date of the return flight. I know that’s gona cost me – foolish, my bad.
So after some swearing I decide to change the booking knowing that they will rip my shirt of. And yes they charge me 280 DKK ( around 30-35 £) in “Flight Change Fee”. All to be expected.
Here comes the strange part: I was NOT charged 40 DKK (5 £) for using my Mastercard a second time!!
How can that be? Is there a bug in their system? That is obvious money not earned! I think Ryanair is losing the grip!!

Well if MoL sees this that 40DKK will be on your account as fast as lightning. Would you like me to tell him!
I've noticed when going back to an EZY booking (I don't fly O'Keary) to make a change or add an ancillary charge, that the fee is not charged.
I had a strange experience yesterday, I recharged our prepaid Dutch cellphone. It had a balance of a couple of Euros, I added €40, got the receipt etc, and this morning get a text saying the balance is now €113. Don't know yet how much they've taken off my card of course!

Like Capetonian, I have added ancilliary services such as baggage, speedy boarding etc to a FR booking and have never had to pay the card fee again.
If you think about it, if the charge were applied per transaction as opposed to per flight , Ryanair couldn't get away with the system they currently have in place. Therefore I assume they only charge per person per flight.

Ryanair compensation question
I was having a chinwag with the neighbours this sunny afternoon and they were telling me how their parents were due to fly with Ryanair to Spain for a celebration, but how one of the parents had a heart attack and is in hospital (and recovering well). They sent a letter to Ryanair to both cancel and notify them of their new situation with a covering medical letter and as this was several weeks ahead of their flight, they expected this to be a simple matter of a full refund......
Apparently the aforementioned airline are not giving any satisfaction and I am only aware, vaguely, of passenger rights and thought that there might be someone on here that would know the ins and outs of such a situation. They said that not even the baggage charges were to be refunded ? That seems a bit harsh..

Ryanair is under no obligation to refund the cost of a flight cancelled by the passenger for whatever reason. They should refund the taxes and charges, but their 'administration fee' will inevitably be greater than the amount due.
Presumably, your neighbours' parents can claim on their travel insurance? (Although it's probably hardly worth their while for what is almost bound to be a very small amount of money).

Ryanair question
Hello
I am unable to find on the ryanair website if there is a maximum number of kids I can take on a flight. I was hoping to take myself and four children with ryainair to France. They are 14,12,7 and six years old. Normally its myself and the missus but its just me this time.
Any help much appreciated.

Can anybody confirm how diligent Ryanair staff are with cabin baggage restrictions at EDI?
I have witnessed varying levels of checks at different airports in the past. At PIK, the Ryanair girl had a set of scales set up before security weighing luggage and making passengers scramble about on the floor re-distributing clothing between bags to ensure nbody exceeded weight limits.
However, at GRO it was the exact opposite with nobody seeming to bother and passengers passing through security with large cases which were obviously well over the dimension limit in many instances.
