757 seating

Hi bayley,

Can upgrade to extra legroom for £10, ask for the foward seats or the ones at doors two. Becarefull of the infamous row 11, some of the fleet have a different layout and row 11 is missing!!

I think row 10 is also extra legroom but I spend most of my time at the pointy end so please don't quote me.

The aircraft has 6 seats a row, 3 a side with an aile in the middle. They are lettered A.B,C and D,E,F with A and F being window seats. (I think!)

Try not to get down the back end either, some fits have 3 toilets fitted at the back 1/3 of the aircraft and on a long flight with a lot of pax, it can get a little wiffy down there.

Hope that helps, have a nice holiday!

Bayley, just a personal observation, but if you or your travelling partner are bad flyers then avoid getting right down the back of a 757. Any bouncy weather and you're pitching up and down like a see saw. Comfier in the middle. The 757 is a great bus especially on climb out.
Try airliners dot net for pics, they have VG searchable photo database and you can filter by airline.

If your planning on getting those extra legroom seats the price has gone up to £12.50, or £17.50 for the Tenerife, Las Palmas and Arrecife.
The forward cabin is prob the best place to sit, if the flight isnt full then for some reason the forward cabin is always a bit quieter than the front, so you may have room to spread around. 2abc is noramally a good option as its not always and extra legroom seat but sometimes has a bit extra space, but again it depends what aircraft you are on as there are a few different variations.
What route are you flying?

757 Seat

If you are not requiring extra Legroom Seats go in Row 2. Right at front and Extra Legroom Seats in front are rarely taken up so no one reclining back.

Remember the entry door to the 757 is not at the front of the cabin. If you are in the first 10/11 rows, depending on which particular aircraft is used, you turn left on getting aboard, whereas everybody else turns right.

It has the effect of making the front rows a seperate cabin.

online check-in

Hey again, this online check-in that seems to be available alot now, any one in favour of this? for those that have seen my "Jet2 seat" thread, the plans that the airlines give, dont correspond with the aircraft, i mean on jet2's site for example, there isnt enough rows compared to what there actually is, how does this work?

What rows are showing on the seat selection page? I think this route is sometimes operated by the 737-400 at a weekend. Maybe this is why the correct rows are not shown.

I'm confused...I'm sure I booked mine by clicking on the plan, not on any selection page.

Jet2.com...... would you rather sit in the middle of the FWD cabin. where its fairly quiet and you get served 1st, or would you rather sit in row 30, served last and right by the mid toilets? I know where I would rather sit, so why not prebook your seats and decide for yourself where you sit, rather than getting pot luck?

Well, since Jet2 chooses to make money from selling certain seats in advance, I don't see what your problem is! Perhaps you should just ignore it, and not read the thread anymore.

My point is that I selected my seats by clicking on the seat in the plan, NOT by picking a seat number. So I don't understand bayley84's comment about there being more seats on the plan than on the selection page. Unless he/she is looking at a plan for a different airline (or even a 753!).
