228Y in a standard 3-3 config.

Cramped but 1 row less than full-density charter config of 233Y/235Y.

Most of the 757 fleet is now 235Y config. The only a/c with 228Y is G-LSAB.

Personally I don't see a problem. The pax to crew ratio is slightly less on the 757 than the 737 so, it should be easier. I have never had a problem on any of my flights, you just need to be organised. 6 crew is never going to happen.

the ratio is slightly less yes, but for some reason the service takes twice as long, probably because the number 2's spend all their time getting water and sour cream pringles from the back galley for the other carts . the other day i only served about 3 rows rest of the time was running up and down. we need a galley slave to do the running while the other 5 serve . plus now we got the delightful mezzo movies too . wat fun

I always tell the crew on the other cart to come to me at the front for hot water and back up stock until the carts in the mid cabin are closer together. Works like a dream. 3 & 5's are always suprised when I tell them to come to me and not the no.2. You should suggest it to your no. 1 next time. Unless its me, then thats what I will be doing anyway. Don't you just love team work! lol

P.S - Another trick is to sling a tray of pringles in the locker above row 31. Then the no. 4 can pop up there and help themselves without disturbing the no.2. Obviously once the service is finished the tray of pringles/snacks should be returned to the galley, to prevent pax helping themselves to some freebies!! How rude! lol

Oooooh -
Max density configuration + Minimum Crew = Mighty uncomfortable flight + Compromise on cabin safety. IMHO.

Don't agree with that at all. Loads of airlines operate with max density and min crew. If it compromised safety airlines would not be allowed to do it. Also half the forward galley on our 757's have been removed and replaced with a bulkhead/wind break, to allow max density seating with a slightly higher seat pitch than the charter airlines.
