Tigerair Interview

Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone has done the Tigerair interview and testing in Australia recently? I've got the online portion coming up and was looking for some insight before I get started. Any pointers would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance :ok:

Are you A320 rated with experience?

Buttscratcher 26th September 2013 10:22

Jesus Pops, the bloke was just asking about the interview for farksake
Why not light a candle instead of cursing the darkness
He's prolly an ex Qatar expat....whatever, man

CruzFL400 26th September 2013 11:11

No 320 rating and I'm well aware of the requirement to fund my own training. Actually, I'm an Aussie and really just wondering about the interview process, questions etc.

Buttscratcher 26th September 2013 11:17

Sorry Cruise, can't help you with the interview......but good luck

TheColonel 26th September 2013 22:54

Gday Mate,

Online portion is really just apptitude testing. Not sure you can study for that anyway. Its basic number sequencing, verbal reasoning ect.... look up your average apptitude tests online and youll get the type in Tiger Online assesment..

Good luck!

When was the last time they had pilot vacancies on their website, every time I look they never seem to be advertising any pilot positions ?

Ask the Qlink dash drivers, many of which will be off to Tiger soon.

I did one recently. Pretty straightforward, like the colonel said you can't really study for them all that much. Good luck. :ok:

type rating

Is the type rating required before the interview or are they happy let you go do it after the interview while in a hold file?

Tigerair Interview

After. Once they give you a start date. They allow enough time to do it.

That's good to hear. I couldn't imagine anything worse than handing over thousands for a rating I might never use.

Anyone else currently involved in the Tigerair selection process?

What the.....

I interviewed in July! during the sim I was asked to stay after my ride and help with the other candidates, a total of six more. So after 5 hours. In which it got to the point where I was actually running the profile since the instructor lost interest, I figured I did a good deed and it would help. Then, I did the interview and that was straight forward. I have an extensive background so I was just asked basic things. Now it's January and I still have not heard anything. Wtf.

Tigerair Interview

Hadn't heard of people doing intake sims??

morno 10th January 2014 21:36

You sure you're talking about Tigerair Australia there Stewsan?

Tigerair Australia don't do sims as part of the interview process.

TheMist 11th January 2014 08:05

They used to do a sim ride.
I did the old testing and was in the holding pool at the time of the grounding. Bought a A320 rating, hold file was wiped, and they haven't let me back in . :ugh:
