Hand Held IFR GPS

Is there a list of all (if any) Handheld GPS that are approved by NZCAA for use in IFR?

Thanks

Yes, one of the all time greats from the Darwin hall of fame.

I think you'd be lucky to find any, as it's not just the GPS itself but its integration into the airframe with appropriate testing, arrangement of warning lights and guidance displays that are important.

I don't think you'll find any hand-held units that are capable of meeting the necessary TSO's for IFR approval.

The TSO install comes down to even the way that the external antenna is fitted. I don't think a portable GPS will ever be allowed to be TSO'd

There is no such beast as a handheld IFR approved GPS, and I would go as far to say as there never ever will be.
