Skywest

Wondering if anyone knows how they are travelling?
See Alliance have a Fokker 50 out the front of the terminal I guess doing XR flying as well as Network doing cloudbreak.
Are they ever going to get up to capacity to service the contracts they have been awarded?
RIO starts next month for them 15 flights a week!
100 pax out of 1900m strips at 2300 elev surrounded by terrain on 40c days will be fun for the twin.
:confused::confused:

whatever happened to their A320's?:confused:

How long is a piece of string these days?

topend3 28th October 2008 09:11

i have been a supporter in the past but i lately am of the belief they run a half-arse operation. Their OTP is crap and their reputation for reliable service in the regions suffering.

It rates high on my list of most probable casualties when the ecomonic crunch takes a hold early next year. Shame really, it used to be such a good little outfit, oh! well, it's not like we didnt see it coming.

Skystar320 28th October 2008 22:50

You cant put the A320's not coming because of the credit crunch...... They have been going on about it for literally 'years' now

R.Cruizo 28th October 2008 23:52

Latest rumour is Alliance will start doing the FDF charters due to problems with Network. NJS may get Rio Tinto back.

Time will tell.

QQ Alliance might end up picking up both contracts, at least they can do what they tender for albeit not as cheaply as skywest it seems.

How long is a piece of string these days?
It would be exactly twice half of its length. :}

Skystar320 29th October 2008 05:46

but what is the lenght of the sting when its half lenght? :ugh::ugh:

the wizard of auz 29th October 2008 07:36

when its half of its length, its obviously twice the size of one quarter.
Sheesh!!! :E

P.O.M 29th October 2008 10:54

Alliance F50

I'm not sure about the F-50 in Perth but an Alliance F-50 will be flying Port Hedland - Cloudbreak and back once a day. Due to a lack of accommodation on site.

Green gorilla 30th October 2008 01:10

Oh yes cloudbreak on a mid december day with a power cart to a f50 with outside temps 45+ great fun.:yuk:
