747 sim time
Anyone got info on where you can buy some classic or 400 time anywhere in the region?
Anyone done it recently? |
Not exactly 'in the region', but came across this today.
http://www.2beapilot.com/Simulator%20Joyrides.htm Is US$500/hr for full motion a fairly standard rate? -ED |
Try Cathay Pacific in Hong Kong. They are pretty busy on the 400 but you might get a fair deal on the classic.

a guy in SY use to do it thru Qantas call them and they can give you his #.
if you want it a bit cheaper and you it is only for an interview etc consider Arena (flying school at AF) they can set up a synthetic trainer to something that resembles 747. |
Don't know how accurate this is but from memory 2 pals of mine have hired the AirNZ sim in Auckland for $800/hr prior to their CX interviews.
Think it may have been the "Classic" sim but AirNZ does sell training packages to third parties etc. S2K |
If you want a cheaper path, I got into Qantas as a result of 2 or 3 hours most evenings on the Noversim with 747 software, (it was free) their comment "that practise certainly showed".
On your own computer the AeroWinx 747 precision simulator software is excellent with all the systems available. I'm not sure of the web address but their e-mail is [email protected]. It used to be $4-500 to purchase including guidance manuals. I wish you every success. |
Aeromentor.
The synthetic flight trainer you refer to is actually a Novasim |
