Ask an ATC Question

Ever wondered why are they doing that? Why did they ask us to do that? Sure you do.

If you want to ask specifics, there is a place you can do it - or have a whinge - or pay a compliment.

The CivilAir Forum has been running for about 6 months - it has over 230 registered Air traffic Controllers from throughout Australia who visit it regularly. It is not competition to PPrune - it is our own place where we generally debate/discuss Industrial and professional issues - but it has a public forum which is well frequented from around the world.

It now also has a place where you as the pilot can ask an ATC - in fact that is the name of the board - "Ask an ATC".

This is an experiment, but I hope it is useful. We sure get a lot of phone calls asking questions! But I am sure there are many more who don't call - so ask here.

One thing though - expect some 'honest' answers - our forum doesn't represent AirServices Australia - just like PPrune doesn't represent QANTAS, Virgin, Regionals, RAAF, GA - it is a 'voice' of the coal face. PPrune is the voice of the coalface pilot - and our forum is 'a' voice of the coalface ATCO.
